At long last, the next major version of Android, Android O will be completely unveiled tomorrow, on Monday, August 21. The event coincides with the solar eclipse, so the Google has setup an Eclipse homepage, where the unveiling will be live streamed.

Android O live-stream would start at 2:40PM EST, just a few minutes before peak eclipse time. The Android O homepage has links to NASA’s own live stream of the Total Eclipse, so it’s nice that we won’t have to divide our attention between the events.

Android O – Oreo?

The latest version of Android has always been referred to as Android O, and no definite name was given to it. Android Police did some clever work and spotted that a video that was uploaded to Google’s Google+ page had filename of “GoogleOreo_Teaser_0817,” suggesting that Oreo would be the name for the next version. Though later, Google removed that video, and uploaded another file named “OctopusTeaser.”

So unless Google is really trolling everyone, we are pretty sure it’ll be called Oreo. For further information about the Google’s latest, you can check out our round-up HERE.
