We have been calling Apple’s next flagship the iPhone 8, but a report by Dutch site iCulture suggests that the device will be named iPhone X. And if the report is true, then there’ll be an iPhone 8 too, just not the model we’ve been led to think.
iCulture claims the Apple’s next generation iPhone will be called the iPhone X – pronounced iPhone 10. The site quoted a ‘reliable source,’ based on “information announced by Apple itself in Cupertino” at a meeting on Thursday.
iPhone X seems to be a reasonable choice, as it has been 10 years since the first iPhone. Other than X, few reports also suggest that company will name the device, iPhone Edition, but so far tech media has settled on calling it the iPhone 8.
Report further claims that iPhone 8 pre-orders will begin on September 15, and deliveries will start on September 22.
