Apple, at its event, just unveiled the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The devices are the upgraded versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and feature a glass back.

The iPhone 8 comes with a single camera while the 8 Plus sports double camera. The devices come in 3 colors: silver, space grey and a new gold finish that looks like a mix between gold and rose gold.

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus speakers are 25 percent louder and have deeper bass. The phones are sealed to be water and dust resistant and there is a new retina HD display, which adapts to ambient light.

As for the display, the iPhone 8 features a 4.7-inch display while the iPhone 8 Plus has a 5.5-inch display.

There’s a new F1.8 camera on both models and an improved F2.8 telephoto lens exclusive to the larger one. Apple says it’s significantly improved the Portrait mode on the new device.

There’s a new beta feature called ‘Portrait Lighting’, which helps improve lighting, and users can even select different lighting configurations, including Contour Lighting, Stage Light, or Studio Light. On the other hand, Video has improved with 240 fps at 1080p.

The iPhone 8 will start at $699 while the iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799, both available at 64GB configuration, and will be upgrade-able to a 256GB model.
