Bitcoin is on the rise once again.
The famous cryptocurrency’s rate rose to the $1,500 this week — and it is a huge milestone for bitcoin, as well as the other cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin started off this year trading just above $1,000, which was the first time cryptocurrency reached that mark in three years. Later in February, the digital currency exceeded its $1,165 record price set in 2014.
Last week, bitcoin crossed the $1,400 barrier to reach an all-time high. And now it’s above $1,500.
The $1,500 price also puts the total value of the cryptocurrency market above $40 billion, MarketWatch reported.
