Instagram announced the feature of multiple photo-sharing and videos for all of its users, as reported earlier. But no confirmed date was given for the update to reach worldwide. Now the photo-sharing network has made it official.

As part of update 10.9, for iOS and Android, users will have the choice to combine up to 10 photos and videos from an event in one Instagram post which followers can swipe through. This is similar to how galleries on Facebook work and are reminiscent of Instagram’s own Stories feature.

Instagram Multiple Photos & Videos Sharing

After users have updated the application, they’ll see a new icon to select multiple photos and videos. Once photos and videos have been added, users can tap and hold to change the order, apply a filter to everything or edit the photos and videos individually.

“From stories to live video to posts in feed, it’s never been easier to share your experiences with your friends,” said Instagram. “With this update, you no longer have to choose the single best photo or video from an experience you want to remember.”

Share your favorite moments of your best friend’s surprise birthday party, from setting up to when they walk through the door. Or create a step-by-step cake recipe that people can always find on your profile.

Instagram’s new feature was very much awaited and needed. It would save its users the headache of sharing their photos one by one. Instead, now they’ll be able to share their moments with their friends and followers at once.
