Months after its initial announcement at its developer conference this year, iOS 11 is finally ready for public release. Apple at its iPhone X event, revealed the final iOS 11 release date, which is just a week from now, September 19th.

Apple‘s latest iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be shipped with the new iOS, when they arrive in stores on September 19, and most likely the same day upgrade will roll out to the public.

iOS 11 comes with many excellent features including some cool ones like animated emojis based on users facial expression, and much better multitasking prowess on iPads. Apple also teased its ARKit, to help developers make augmented reality content more realistic.

Once available, there are plenty of reasons to upgrade to iOS 11 but as is the case with most new software launches, there are bound to be bugs, so make sure you back up all your data before starting the installation.
