Apple is set to introduce its next generation iPhone on Tuesday, September 12 to mark 10 years of the iPhone brand. There have been number of leaks about the device, and everyone has been calling it the iPhone 8. But it looks like Apple is going to launch its top-tier phone as the iPhone X.
The revelation comes from the leaked iOS 11 firmware. iOS developer, Steven Troughton-Smith discovered references to iPhone X that are linked directly to the D22 code-name with a bezel-less display.

Troughton-Smith further discovered separate iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus references, suggesting that Apple is planning to release its other two non-OLED devices under the name of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
Apple’s iPhone X is set to be revealed on 12th of this month, but lots of rumors have suggested shipments of the device could be delayed due to OLED shortages and Apple’s need to find another display supplier besides Samsung. In just a couple days, we’ll find out everything about the rumored $1,000 pricing and exact release date of the iPhone X.
