Microsoft’s upcoming and successor to the Xbox One – ‘Project Scorpio’ specifications and details are finally revealed by the company. Microsoft is revamping its already existing gaming consoles, and needles to say, Project Scorpio is a beast.

Microsoft has made Project Scorpio backward compatible which means that it will be able to run the games of Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will boast eight CPU cores each running at a frequency of 2.3 GHz and will pack 12 GB of ultra-fast GDDR5 RAM. To the GPU computation, the console will feature 40 GPU processors each clocking at 1172 MHz.

The Project Scorpio is expected to be released later this year. But there is no official word on the release date or either the pricing of the console.
