Expected features of the iPhone 8
Rumors suggest it’s going to be a radical redesign, with an edge-to-edge display, with features like Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the front-facing camera.
Apple is rumored to be working on a 5.8-inch iPhone, according to a an article posted by The Motley Fool in March 2016. The report noted that Apple had a view to launch the phone “in 2018 or even earlier in 2017”.
Apple is also rumored to be making a flexible plastic OLED for the next iPhone. OLED will allow Apple to make a thinner body, consuming less power and offering a better display with an higher contrast ratio.
About the body of the phone, iPhone 8 is likely to have a glass body. According to Apple supplier Catcher Technology, at-least one iPhone model coming in 2017 will have glass body, similar to the body that was used in iPhone 4.
New iPhone is expected to have a 10-nanometer A11 chip, plus rumors suggest it could also include features like long-range wireless charging and bio-metric additions like iris or facial scanning.

Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst believes that dual-lens camera introduced in the iPhone 7 plus will continue to be feature of the iPhone models expected in 2017.
He predicts a 4.7-inch iPhone with a single camera, a 5.5-inch model with a dual-lens camera, and an OLED model in an unspecified size with a dual-lens camera.
