Months after the release of Galaxy S8, Samsung finally makes its Bixby Assistant available for the S8 owners. And people are already noticing the company’s sexist characterizations of its female and male voices.

Inside Bixby’s “language and speaking style” menu, Samsung describes its male voice as “confident” and “assertive,” while the female voice is described as “chipper” and “cheerful.”

After the feedback from people and Gizmodo reaching out to the company, Samsung told that it’s “working diligently to remove the hashtag descriptions from the Bixby service.”

The Bixby assistant is rolling out today, and it would first be available for the US owners only. Users from other countries are expected to get it soon as the update rolls out more widely.
