People in many countries haven’t been able to get their hands on the latest Samsung’s flagship, Galaxy S8, but the company has started working on their upcoming smartphone, Galaxy S9.

Samsung Electronics and its chip partner Qualcomm have already started working on a new mobile chip for its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9, according to Aju Business Daily; The Investor reports.

The Snapdragon 845 is going to be an advanced version of the Snapdragon 835 and will feature better optimizations and performances. Though it is way too early to speak on the performance, what we know so far is that the Snapdragon 845 chip is going to be equipped with the 2nd-generation 10-nanometer chip manufacturing technology.

After the chip is developed by Qualcomm, either Samsung or the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company will start the production on mass scale.

The Korean tech giant declined to comment on the matter.
