Instagram is finally adding the much-needed feature to its platform, the comment threads. This should put an end to those messy comments where you can’t find who is talking to whom. Facebook, the company that owns Instagram, has offered threaded comments for years, but it’s better late than never.

Instagram announced the important change in a blog post. The company states that it wants to “make your feed an even better place to share interests, get inspired and connect with others.”

The new change means that the long line of continuous comments which all feed back to the original post are no more. Instead, comments will now be separated out to actual conversations, with replies to individual comments grouped together.

This also makes it possible to actually have conversations with the people in the comments without getting lost. Though it shouldn’t have taken this long to add threaded comments, but we aren’t complaining.

The feature being introduced with Instagram version 24 on both Android and iOS.
