Windows Story Remix.

Microsoft, today has announced a new Windows 10 app that has been missing since the operating system’s launch: Story Remix. The company’s brand new creative application is a replacement for its Movie Maker and is specially designed to let Windows 10 users easily edit photos and create video content.

Story Remix appears to be a true Movie Maker successor and it brings many new exciting features. The app works in the cloud by collating images and video from any device you use. That means Story Remix app will also be available for iOS and Android, so you can grab content from multiple devices and work on your video.

Windows 10 S: Everything you need to know about

Built with .Net and XAML, Story Remix combines Windows Remix 3D and Paint 3D, allowing Windows users to import 3D models into movies. It allows you to pin objects into scenes, much like Snapchat’s new augmented reality lenses. To insert soundtracks, Microsoft has attached hundreds of sounds from its Groove music service.

Microsoft is aiming this new app at families and a younger audience who want to quickly create videos with a soundtrack and some neat effects. The impressive Story Remix app will be coming out with the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update later this year.
