Earlier this month, it was noticed that YouTube is testing Speed controls in its Android app. Now, the company is reportedly gearing up for another cool new feature. The latest YouTube server-side test brings live watch counts to the Android app.
The new test doesn’t need any explanation. The feature will simply show how many people are currently watching the video that you’re watching. The text is sandwiched between the title and the like/dislike buttons. Android Police received screenshots from two readers which can be seen below.
This new feature is pretty cool and haven’t been seen on the web version of YouTube before. We hope that after the server-side test, it rolls out to more people soon enough.
