When HMD Global brought back Nokia brand in to the market, they promised to provide fast security and system updates to all of the devices. And they are keeping up their word.

HMD announced the Android 8.0 for all of its Nokia phones released this year and after the timely monthly security fixes, now’s the time to get the bigger update, starting from Nokia 8.

Yesterday, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD, announced that the Oreo beta test is available through Nokia phones beta labs for owners of the Nokia 8. Head over to the page, and you’ll be asked to sign in and to validate your phone’s IMEI number and operator.

After you register yourself for beta, the site says that the OTA notification might take up to 12 hours to show up on your phone. According to the change-log, the update also has the October security patch.

It’s great to see HMD keeping up its promises for updates and is working so hard to give best of its customers. This is a great start for the relaunched Nokia brand.
