Social media giant, Facebook is testing a new Resume feature that looks much like LinkedIn. The feature lets users share their work experience with their friends. Facebook already has a ‘Work and education’ section, and the new addition expands on it but won’t publicly display all the information.

The dedicated field lets users list their professional and educational background with the precise dates when they started working and left.

Here is what it looks like:

As far as the new update goes, the most interesting thing is that Facebook says the detailed information will not readily show up on your public profile. This could mean that the resume details will be exclusively available to only job hunters.

The Next Web contacted Facebook for clarification. “At Facebook, we’re always building and testing new products and services. We’re currently testing a work histories feature to continue to help people find and businesses hire for jobs on Facebook,” a spokesperson replied.
