Google‘s standalone Messenger app that debuted with Nexus 6 and was later renamed Android Messages has hit 100 million downloads in the Play Store.

Since it first launch for Nexus 6, Android Messages ships pre-installed on Google’s phones. However, some other OEMs, like Motorola, also use it as the stock messaging app.

It has been three years of existence on the Play Store for Android Messages and it has racked up more than half a million reviews to go with 100 million downloads. The app can be download from the Play Store at this link.
