Google, to continue the trend of moving more of its core OS apps and services into the Play Store, has now released the Pixel and Nexus battery app. The app, named Device Health Services, is now showing up in the Play Store for devices as old as the Nexus 5.
The Play Store description for the Device Health Services points out that “the app predicts how long your phone’s battery will last based on your usage.” The only feature listed is the “Personalized battery usage estimates”.
This is probably not the most exciting update in the world. But, it helps updating yet another Google app independently of the operating system. The company, previously, also released its Dialer, Gboard, Google Assistant and more in the Play Store.
