Google is adopting bottom navigation bars across its products, like the recent YouTube update and the new Chrome interface. But its Play Store doesn’t follow the same trend. A redesign for the Play Store app is rolling out to users worldwide, with a new navigation bar below the existing tabs.
The new bar doesn’t function like a bottom navigation bar, instead it serves as a sub-menu for whatever section users are viewing. Both the old buttons and the new navigation bar overflow to the right, requiring horizontal scrolling to see all the options on the screen.
There is also a tweak change rolling out to the side menu:
The ‘My Apps and games’ option is now placed at the very top, and there are few slight other changes as well.
The new changes are gradually rolling out to the users worldwide.
