HMD this year released a bunch of Nokia smartphones and the company has committed to provide the latest Android including Google’s unannounced Android P to owners of all existing smartphones.

Produced by the Finnish company HMD Global, the Nokia phones this year have been generally well-received, and earlier last month, the company also made the promise of an Android 8.0 Oreo update by the end of 2017.

And now HMD is going one step further, and has confirmed that all existing 2017 Nokia smartphones – like the Nokia 3 or the new Nokia 8 – will be getting an upgrade till Android P.

Promise of Android P is interesting, mainly because Google hasn’t even announced it. In fact, Google only recently made the final version of Android O available to the public and Android P seems a long way off.
