HTC U11 that came last year has three phones under the same branding, the standard HTC U11, the U11+ and U11 life, but it looks like another variant is about to join them. Judging from the specifications leaked by Evan Blas, the latest variant named U11 EYEs seems like it could be a pretty nice smartphone – excluding it’s OS which is Android Nougat.
Evan in one single tweet, leaked everything about the U11 EYEs. Codenamed Harmony, the device will sport a 6.0″ 1080p Super LCD3 display in an 18:9 aspect ratio, an octa-core Snapdragon 652 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with microSD expansion.
The device will come with big 3,930mAh battery and USB Type-C. IP67 water resistance and Edge Sense are also present. There are pretty small bezels up front and the fingerprint sensor on the back.
The only thing not attractive about the smartphone mentioned among the leaked specs is Android Nougat, which the company is likely launching it with to avoid being obligated to include Project Treble.
The U11 EYEs is expected to launch on January 15th for ￥3,299 (~$510 USD). It’ll be available in three colors: black, a blue-tinged silver, and a beautiful red.
