Rumors have been in the air from a couple of weeks that HTC is going to announce a new U device on November 2. And those rumors turned out to be true, after HTC officially announced the new HTC U11+ on the same date.

HTC U11+ is probably the most exciting phone the company has ever made. The phone features a bezel-less, 18:9 6.0-inch Super LCD6 display with a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

HTC U11+ is based on the cancelled HTC Pixel 2 XL

The phone competes with all the latest smartphone currently available in the market as it comes with Snapdragon 835 chipset with Octa-core CPU and Adreno 540 GPU. It comes in 2 variants, one with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM; and the other with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM.

The HTC U11+ is IP68 water and dust resistant. There’s a single 12 MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus, OIS, and dual-LED flash. The front facing camera is 8MP with 85-degree field-of-view and f/2.0 aperture and can record 1080p videos.

One of the most amazing thing about the flagship is its battery. The phone is powered by a big, 3,930mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3. There is a USB Type C port at the bottom, but no 3.5mm audio jack is included.

The U11+ will be one of the first non-Google phones to ship with Android 8.0 Oreo and will have HTC’s lightweight Sense UI theming over the top. The device comes in three colors: Ceramic Black, Amazing Silver, and Translucent colors.

HTC U11+ is priced at €799 and is also expected to come in Pakistan with a price tag of around Rs. 70,000.
