Facebook-owned mobile sharing app, Instagram keeps on introducing new updates to its Stories feature. In its latest feature, the app has now added ability to respond to individual stories with photos, videos and Boomerangs.

With the latest update, a camera icon now appears right beside the text box at the bottom of each story. To reply with a photo or a video, tap the button while watching a story. Users can use any creative tools in the camera, including face filters and stickers. While replying, a still of the story also appears which can be re-positioned just like a sticker – sizing it up and down and spinning it around.

The latest update shows Instagram trying to stay one step ahead of the Snapchat. While people can send snaps back and forth to one another now, Snapchat Stories can only be replied to with text right now.

Instagram’s new updates are available as part of version 10.28 and above for iOS in the App Store and for Android in the Google Play.
