Personal Computer market haven’t seen good days for long. There’s been a discouraging trend in computer shipments as the year-to-year growth has declined over the last six years. But finally, there is a good news for market as IDC has reported that PC market actually grew 0.7 percent in the holiday season of 2017.
The holiday season growth of PC shipments last year is near to nothing; though the people at IDC believe that computer market is beginning to stabilize. Overall, the year’s shipments were down 0.2 percent, with a total of 259.5 million units shipped. A decline better than 2016’s 1.5 percent.
HP was the top PC performer last year, with a market share in the United States of 34 percent. Lenovo followed, with Dell in third place, while Apple remains in fourth place.
