Google is extending its software update promise from two years to a minimum of three years for its Pixel 2 mobile phones, which was announced earlier this month. And that’s a great news for all the Pixel 2 users.

Previously Google’s Nexus devices and the Pixels were guaranteed updates for at least two years. But with Pixel 2, the company has extended the time period, for both OS updates and the security updates.

Google, in its updated support page has clearly stated that the Pixel 2 will get 3 years of software updates and 3 years of security updates. The company even published a table for an easy and clear look at the support dates of each device in the Pixel line.
