Qualcomm is conducting its Snapdragon Tech Summit and the company has announced that its next flagship processor will be called the Snapdragon 845. Successor to last year’s Snapdragon 835, the 845 will bring improved performances, better power efficiency, and improved image processing.
The new processor is built on the same 10 nm process technology like the Snapdragon 835. And thanks to its X20 modem, the 845 will support Gigabit LTE speeds.
The new chip will be found in many high-end Android phones in 2018, and in a first, it will be included in Windows 10 laptops and many other convertibles.
According to ASUS and HP officials, we’ll see the first portable computers early next year that will support “all-day battery life and thin, sleek and fan-less PC design, all while incorporating Windows 10.”
The detailed specs will be introduced today at a separate keynote.
