It has been few months since Android 8.0 Oreo was released, but Samsung phones are still shipping phones with Nougat. But that’s finally changing. Starting today, Samsung is rolling out Android 8.0 beta for the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

As the Android Police has reported, the Android 8.0 beta is running “Samsung Experience 9.0,” and has a number of new features courtesy of the updated Android core. The update comes with launcher shortcuts, colored media notifications, and more.

The beta, though, will only run on specific number of devices, which include T-Mobile, Sprint, and unlocked version of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. To sign up, users will have to log into the Samsung+ app and look for the beta registration option at the top.

The OTA from Nougat to Oreo is about 1.4GB and before you decide to join, it’s recommended to back up your data.
