Samsung, at a recent event in Vietnam, has confirmed the release date for the newly-unveiled Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) smartphones. During the event, the South Korean company confirmed that both the devices will go on sale starting January 6.
The release date will likely vary from region to region, but this is inline with the ‘early January’ release time frame. There’s also no information on when the users from other countries will get their hands on these phones.
Both devices will be run Android 7.1.1 out of the box and are expected to be upgraded to Oreo soon.
As Samsung announced, in Vietnam, the devices will carry a price tag of VND 10,990,000 (around $482) and VND 13,490,000 (around $592) for Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively.
