Snap in taking a huge step towards the increase of content beyond the Snapchat app. As many reports suggest, the company will soon allow iOS and Android users to share stories outside of the app. The feature, though, at the launch is limited to content from Snapchat’s Discover media partners and Our Stories from events and places.

Snapchat is getting a complete redesign of the app and users in countries like Australia and Canada will get the Stories share function first. The new functionality will allow users to share a story via text, iMessage, email or even Facebook.

Since Snapchat’s $24 billion IPO, there’s been talk about its decline. The app has been struggling to gain new users lately and its tricky set-up isn’t helping either.

The feature will roll out worldwide with Snapchat’s redesign over the net few weeks.
