Apple’s Face ID, the facial recognition system built into iPhone X, isn’t easy to access or to hack in, thanks to its cutting-edge camera and image recognition system. Unless, you are a rare 10-year-old kid, trying to break into the phone of your parent.
Ammar Malik, the 10-year old son of Attaullah Malik and Sana Sherwani made that discovery earlier this month, when he walked into their bedroom to admire new iPhone Xs just after they’d set up Face ID.
“There’s no way you’re getting access to this phone,” the father, Attaullah Malik remembers his wife telling her son.
Ammar, then picked up his mother’s phone, not knowing which was which. And a split second after he looked at it, the phone unlocked.
The Family later posted a video on YouTube, that shows Malik unlocking the Face ID on his mum’s iPhone X. While talking to Wired, the family told that Malik also managed to unlock his father’s iPhone X a couple of times.
