In the latest Windows 10 insider preview build 17093, Microsoft has introduced a new Bluetooth pairing functionality that will be available in the next major update. The build was released earlier this week and the Windows 10 testers can try the quicker and more convenient Bluetooth pairing.
The new streamlined pairing means Windows 10 will now produce a notification to quickly connect to the supported devices and pair them.
Microsoft says, “only certain enabled peripherals can trigger this experience” right now. “We are however looking to standardize this in the long term,” says a member of Microsoft’s Windows Bluetooth core team.
Microsoft is working with partners, including Logitech, to ensure Bluetooth pairing support is available across a number of devices.
